Anyway, who are we to warn them right? We are just moderators not teachers.
As if! Why should we care about their soon to be funeral in college these upcoming years.
The English Dialect and Language evolves every time the clock ticks.
New words are added, new discoveries are made by linguist and so on...
I am not being frank nor sarcastic. I am just giving the so called mediocre fact.
Education and Knowledge evolves. If you don't have the wisdom to comprehend whats in store in the future. Say goodbye to it.
As they say... "It's just proper grammar and spelling. We can't eat those!"
Sure, you can't eat it. But without those qualities. You can't get a job that puts food on the table.
it's like the saying. We don't need math in real life.
Ironic and funny!
Dunno that. haha

Funny isn't it?
On college, YOU FAIL!
Even if you manage to graduate (With a low proficiency in English, Spelling or general dialect); it won't assure you a job.
Ironic right? But still, it amuses me to see undergraduates who get jobs because of high grammar capability, fluent Filipino and English dialect and proper reading comprehension.
Anyway, who am I to talk right?
As I said... It's their funeral when the time comes.

can we just let it happen like that? Can we not do something about it?
Let us say, maybe here in FTalk, at least, they could learn to make proper communication attitude. If we will enforce the rule of using Text Lingo (and Sticky Caps) in our community, I believe that it could help some of the eager members.

We try our best to post properly, so it can serve as good examples. Even the Filipino, Malaysian and Indonesia Moderators try their best to post in proper dialect, spelling and grammar.
I am not doing reverse psychology or anything. The fact this an International Forum. I expect better from those people who can comprehend and type normally. I know they know better. Rather than frolicking around our forum and posting mediocre and downgrading dialect that makes them look like outcast or lazy slouchers... Why not post your thoughts with a complete answer? This is a forum not the SMS system. One wrong word due to wrong spelling or misinterpretation can lead to mass hysteria or no holds barred trash talk.
Anyway, as I said earlier... Ah, never mind.
Sounds to cliche anyway...

But I didn't say... Rules with very strict moderators.
Anyway, never mind my premature ideas.
Just let them be themselves. Eventually they will understand what I mean...
It's better if they learn the hard way. Most people realize Proper Dialect is very important when it's too late. As a youth of this current generation. This answer is justified.
<cliche line here>

and you are right, it's up to them.
and for them, please.. don't ruin the boards by posting that way
Teachers are failing students here because they have become so accustom to texting/sms that they actually turn-in school work written half in propler english and the other half in text lingo
I agree that it is better if they learn the hard way but jieduck has a valid point, in a way it is the responsibility of all to help teach those that are willing to learn, either codes or the use of english.
