If ever. Henkhenk. :wasted:[/i] “There you go,” My dad said as he placed the necklace he made around my neck. “Marvelous.” I said while touching the bear locket he gave to me. “Keep that always, Margaret. And, don't forget. Training” He smiled as he tapped my head. “Sure dad! I love this. I'll promise that I'll be the best Taekwondo player on the whole wide world.” tears fell from my eyes as I hugged my dad. “Promise me that you'll give this locket to the person you love the most. Okay?” “Huh? You mean, I'll give it back to you?” I asked. Confused. “No, no, no. Someday, when you're old enough, you'll understand.” My dad was a coach of our school's Taekwondo team. But he resigned when I was in second grade since hindi na masyadong kinaya ng body niya. Alam niyo naman, matanda na. He taught me how to do the kicks, the shouts and the moves 8). Naging interesado naman ako, at sinabi ko na rin sakanya. I joined competitions and contests or even wrestling fights when I was a kid. My dad always knew that I would be the winner. I believed that too. But that belief disappeared when I met Aries. Akala ko 'weak' lang siya; paano naman kasi, ang amo ng muka niya diba? “Margaret, dear. Meet Aries.” my dad smiled. I smiled and immediately attacked him. He brought me down. I felt something I never felt in my whole six years of life. I lost my pride. Anyway, I began to accept the new challenge of my life; to defeat him. I know it would be hard. But who cares. As long as na motivated naman ako, magagawa ko yun, diba? Since kindergarden, schoolmates na kami ni Aries. I strive for everything. Everything that he has. There are a lot of gossips being spread around the campus. A lot of jokes and everything. Moreover, most of the people here are Jokers. Seriousness doesn't exist in a school like this. I always knew it would be like that. And it was a big surprise that I got influenced. I never knew I would take that heart-touching phrase... too. “Gusto mo talagang matalo siya no?” She asked calmly. “Kaya nga nandito ako eh,” I raised one eyebrow and smiled. “But do you know one thing? I mean the most important thing about him,” she sat down. “What important thing?” I held my chin, laughing. “He loves–” I butted in immediately, “NAHHH. That will never happen. Rival ko yun. Kaya, forget it,” I said and tapped her back. And then she laughed and stared at my necklace. “You told me something about this right?” she touched the locket. I nodded. “To whom will you give this locket anyway?” “Well, di ko pa alam eh. Wala pa naman kasing deserving eh,” I faced her, “Anyway, tara, magrereview pa ako eh.” “You always do.” She smirked. “Well, I should.” I rolled my eyes sarcastically. “If I were you, I wouldn't be blind,” She frowned. It caught my attention, “What?” “Wala, wala.” The phrase she just said didn't distract me that much. And I’m used to that phrase, or should I say, to that joke. “Morning.” As expected, si Aries. “Morning Aries.” “What's that?” he looked at the locket. This was something he never did before. So close. “I-it's nothing.” For the first time in my life history, blood immediately rushed to my face as he held my hand. I was wondering, what if I ended up giving the locket to him?
