When I told Nathan about it sabi niya he’s happy for me but I saw a flicker of doubt and worry in his eyes. That’s when I realized that I myself am in doubt whether I made a right decision or not. (thank goodness) Organization leaders and batch representatives are supposed to have a date. Ayun, since team captain ako (organization leaders nga ‘di ba?), I need a date. Si Meg din, she’s the head of the dance troupe so kailangan niya din. “It’s two months away but the practice for the cotillion is a week away. Sa’ng planeta ba sumuot ang utak mo Stephie?” “Yah, I know it but it slipped off my mind.” “Nagkaroon ka lang ng manliligaw nadistract ka na.” “Huh? Ewan sa’yo, Meg.” “You know what Stephanie, I know you don’t like parties and you don’t like dancing. However, when you know that something is a must, you do it anyway. The cotillion is a must. Besides, you’re losing your priorites. You’re not even training your team well for the league.” “Am I really not?” “Steph, this is a reality check. Is Lawrence really for you? Is he doing you good? I mean if he only causes you to lose your focus and forget your priorities, better think twice. You’re at the peak of your basketball career and kung ikaw mismo na captain wala s kundisyon, then you’re pulling down the team.” Ouch. Ganun na ba talaga ako? Am I distracted?
