Napatingin lang ako sa nakatalikod na Kai. Hindi ko alam pero parang may problema. There's something wrong with that call. After 48 years (OA), bumalik na siya ng may bakas na galit at lungkot sa mga mata. Kaya bigla naman akong nag-alala. "Ayos ka lang ba?" "Ayos lang ako. Sorry." He smiled. "Ayos daw. Kunwari ka pa." I teased him. "Sino yun?" Tumahimik siya sandali. Then napayuko. "Si Dad." "Anong problema?" "Wala. He just asked me kung kelan daw yung graduation. Yun lang naman." "Ows? Eh bakit ganyan mukha mo?" "Wala lang." "Okay then." I smiled at him and held his hand. "Basta, if you have some problems, feel free to share it to me, ha? Okay?" I smiled sweetly. He looked at me. "Okay." "Promise?" "Promise." He smiled. ***It's been two weeks since we last talked about his dad. Graduation niya na sa Wednesday. Two days more. and he'll be gone from his high school days. He'll be gone from his high school sweetheart. He'll be gone. And right now, we're spending together his last two days at the school. :] Soccer field. "Promise." I smiled again. Silence. I knew then there's something wrong. Pero ewan ko ba at di ako nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob na magtanong. After ng graduation, I went to his graduation party sa bahay nila. Dang it. Sobrang saya. Andun ang lahat. Lahat ng classmates niya, lahat ng friends namin, si Kyla, si Alexa, lahat-lahat na. Sobrang saya talaga. Nung mga around 10 pm na, I went to look for Kai kasi ibibigay ko na sa kanya yung graduation gift ko for him. I was surprised when I saw him talking to Alexa sa swing dun banda sa kabilang side ng house nila. T__T Hindi ko alam, pero parang nagselos ako bigla. Hindi ko naman sila sinugod, pinabayaan ko nalang at umupo dun sa sala kasama sina Matthew. At dahil nabored narin sina Matthew at nagsidatingan na yung mga gerlpren nila, naiwan ako sa salang mag-isa at dumiretso sila sa likod ng house, dun sa pool, dahil nandun ang main action. :] Nabigla naman ako ng umupo si bestfriend Alexa sa gilid ko. She then held my hand and smiled softly to me. "May problema ba?" I asked her. "Hindi mo ba siya mamimiss?" "Huh?" I laughed. "Si Kai ba? Okay lang naman. Magkikita pa naman kami..I'm sure in between classes. Hindi na araw-araw, pero okay narin yun." I said smiling. "No. I mean.." bigla siyang napatigil at napaisip. "Teka, hindi mo pa ba alam?" "Huh? Alam ang ano?" T_T "Dicey. Alam mo ba kung anong party itong napuntahan mo?" "What do you mean? Graduation party, right?" Teka, what is she talking about? "Oh shoot. You really don't have an idea, do you? How could he.." She looked worried and irritated already. "Teka, what do you mean ba? Anong 'how could he.' na iyan?" Nalilito narin ako sa mga pinagsasabi ni Alexa. "W-wala." "Alexa? Tell me about it. Ano ba talaga ang nangyayari?" "I don't know if this is the rightest thing to do. But I heard he's leaving for L.A next week." Nang sinabi yun ni Alexa, pakiramdam ko binagsakan ako ng langit at lupa. "No. No. Hindee, you're kidding, diba? He can't do that. He won't do that. He just can't." Tumutulo na yung luha ko nang mga oras na iyon. "At first, I thought it was just a joke. But I asked him about it kanina." I covered my mouth. "How could he.." "Dice.. just hear his side first before boiling out." She said and held my hand. Hear his side?! He has all the time in the world to tell me about it, pero never niyang inopen iyan saken! Kahit clue, wala siyang pinakita! And malalaman ko pa sa bestfriend kong EX niya?! Bakit ganun?! I stood up and umalis ng bahay nila. I heard him shout my name pero di na ako humarap sa kanya. He then caught my right arm. "Ba't ka nalang umalis?" he asked. Napayuko ako. Nakakainis. Naiinis ako. [u][b](Only One of Yellowcard Playing)[/b][/u] "Bakit hindi mo sinabi?" He looked at me and parang nagets niya rin yung itinatanong ko. "It's true then." Huminga ako ng malalim. "Gosh. Bakit hindi mo man lang sinabi saken?" "I was. I was planning to. It's just that.. natatakot ako." "Takot? Come on. Alam mo kung gaano kasakit to? Kai.. for the second time, you're leaving me." I cant seem to breathe. I cant seem to see him. "And it really hurts. And you know what hurst most?" "Dice.. just-" "Nalaman ko pa from Alexa. I knew it from your ex. Bakit sa kanya? Bakit hindi galing sa iyo?!" Sobrang naiinist ako at nasasaktan. And then I remembered the gift. "Oh, here." I gave him the gift and walked away. Suddenly, someone hugged me from the back. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." He hugged me so tight like he'll never let go of me. "I'm sorry?" Napaiyak na naman ako. I got his arms out of my body and started to walk away again. And he just stood there... [i][b]crying.[/b][/i] "Isa lang ang maipapangako ko sa iyo Dice. Even though I'm leaving, ikaw parin ang mamahalin ko." Napatigil ako sa paglalakad. Gusto kong lumingon, but because of my hurt pride, hindi ako lumingon, instead I walked faster... leaving him behind.. [i][b]crying[/b][/i]. [b]And the rain started to fall from the clear sky. [/b]
