Jackie went to a dental clinic to ask his dentist what he can do to fight bad breath. The dentist examined Jackie’s oral hygiene, asked about his dietary habits, and then advised him to also see another doctor, a diabetes specialist. How did the dentist come up with the assumption, just by examining Jackie’s breath, that Jackie might be diabetic? What might be the cause of Jackie’s bad breath and how is this related to diabetes?
first you have to look up the word for bad breath which is Halitosis. search for the causes. what does diabetic people have to watch for? ex. Blood sugar or blood glucose. Well, glucose is our main source of energy & if we have too hi or lo level of it, it could affect our body. One of the major causes is Diabetes. If sugar doesn't get broken down as it should, it will store in your body causing alot of harmful effects... this is one way for doctors to know if you've got diabetes cause it's mostly common for people who are diabetic, have bad breath. does this answer your question?
