Clear your CMOS first by changing jumpers or removing batteries to be Reset to Default Values, there might be a setting there that makes you skip the POST.

No POST = PC DEAD

i got it solved now..hehe, thnx for your ideas,nweiz..hehe, the updates are not showing anymore, coz i have it turned off in the services.msc hehe..and the red balloon was also fixed,it's just the fire wall notice tht my firewall is turned off but when i checked it it was on,,weird..hehe,but it was fixed now...and the bios setup and system config showed up again..my cousin said it just buffered coz i just pressed something so it has skipped the Post...he told me to press f2 and delete fast to show up again & make it normal again..and it worked..hehe,i don't know why by that way only..but now i want to make my PC to be faster in startup ...i have done a few things by making the Xp boot image disappear..to make the boot faster..and removing some other indexing services..but when i'm trying to open an application as the computer had started up...it takes time to open...i dont know if there's any problem..or my corel files, flash files photoshop files are just too big that it affects the startup and slowing of the computer...especially when i'm in a rush and i want to run the macromedia flash immediately...whew..ehehe..anyways i have a 1gb ram, but only 80gb harddrive..and i have 512mb videocard wid additional 3d accelerator card..for i want to use the optimized resolution and the highest quality option in my graphics when i'm playing a game..

You have a high end system there i don't see problems regarding your hardware, you can try other geniuses advice coz they might have a brighter idea or contradict with mine but heres what i do on my pc, i optimize my pc using a software i'm not into tweaking pc manually i.e. using regedit coz I might mess up my system (regarding trash entries on registry), to cut the intro short you have to check your system for unwanted startup programs, uninstall programs you don't need, you have to defrag your registry and also defrag your pc, try CCLEANER it is free other program I use is *System Cleaner for some entries or trash that CCLEANER can't clean PM me if you want the cracked version coz that one ain't free*. System Cleaner can Clean Startup Entries, Uninstall Hidden Programs that is not visible on your ADD/REMOVE, Defrag Registry to bootup your PC faster, Defrag your Harddrive to Run you programs faster.

But anways just like Psyanne said DEFRAG your pc and use CCLEANER, its really works and also all your programs that youre using, try to disbale that start up when windows is loading. Or try this but pls be very careful. Click start then choose RUN type msconfig on the box and hit enter. A window will appear pls click on START UP Now uncheck all the programs you dont want to load up when starting windows. Again dont uncheck programs that is unfamiliar to you, to avoid booting problems later on. Hope that helps and if will still loads up slow, try reformatting your pc Surely everything will loads up faster ;)

Re: I came across several posts here, seems quite a number of folks have pretty good handle on computers, internet , websites , or other techie stuff ... If you are a newbie to computers and you need hel

thanks psyanne and angelalaine..hehe,yes it helped somehow i've tried on what you've said angelalaine but still it is not as fast as it was before...it still takes few moments to open an application...i even tried to use the prefetch1 in some apps..as some other said..but i also removed it because it is not helping..my computer has tons of files..whew and many apps...you think that affects the slowing startup of my applications??i have some apps like the corel draw 10-11,oracle,macromedia flash, dreamweaver, dev c++,adobe package,tv expert, legato, memories on tv,autocad and many more..some in there are big.. and some games like warcraft 3 frozen throne, reign of chaos, nfs most wanted,nba07,hitman,silent hill 4 i'm still thinking of reformatting my comp...even if i want to,i don't yet have a new hard disk or a usb type hd to use for my back-up..huhu...very sad..because most of the files in my pc are important...it has also plenty of pics,vids... uhm my computer was set-up by my uncle..i think the specs is not as good as other computers have today..because mine was built in year 2004,that was the year my computer reigned...hehe,that time i think my pc has one of the highest specs...and it was running great....haysss..i mean the details of the games was optimal...still it runs smoothly.. ei nweiz guys, i have here the cleaner5 EZ for adobe premiere,,does anyone knows how to use it??and what it's use..

^ or paulo have plenty "Plugins" running on his YM (like first time installing, theres 5-7 plugin run at bottom of YM) Need to disable those if the PC specs are not good enough (eg: RAM 128mb - 256mb) Its the main YM bug since version 7 :D
